You don’t have to figure this out on your own anymore.
Nicola McCafferty The Foster Parent's Coach
A guided, trauma-aware support space for foster carers who feel stretched thin, worn down, and wondering:
“Am I the only one struggling like this?”
You’re not.
You’re never the only one.
And this space was built so you don’t have to carry it all alone.
You’re doing everything you can - but it still doesn’t feel like enough.
So why does it still feel like it’s never enough?
Maybe you’ve been fostering for years, and the weight just keeps building.
Maybe you’re only a few months in, and already asking, “What have I signed up for?”
Either way - no one really prepared you for this part:
The emotional toll.
The guilt.
The kind of exhaustion that doesn’t disappear with a night’s sleep.
And the hardest part?
The loneliness of showing up every day like everything’s fine… when inside, you’re barely holding it together.
You care deeply.
You want to make a difference.
But somewhere along the way, you stopped feeling like you matter too.
THIS IS WHERE GROUP COACHING COMES IN
Our group programs are built around one truth:
You’re not the only one.
And you shouldn’t have to carry this alone.
This isn’t just a Zoom room full of strangers.
It’s a professionally held, trauma-aware space where you can finally be honest - without fear of judgement, fixing, or comparison.
Because maybe you’re:
Snapping more than you'd like - then beating yourself up for it
Crying in the car, then pulling it together for the next meeting
Feeling invisible in a system that sees your role, not your wellbeing
Triggered by things you thought you’d already healed
Isolating from people who love you - because they just don’t understand
Quietly Googling “how to stop fostering” and hating yourself for it
HERE’S THE TRUTH
You don’t need to push through this.
You don’t need to be perfect.
And you don’t need another lecture.
What you need is a space to land.
A space to breathe.
A space to be seen and supported by people who actually get it.
That’s what this is.
Not a quick fix. Not toxic positivity. Not passive support.
Just real, grounded group coaching from someone who understands what it means to give everything - and still feel like it’s not enough.
What Group Coaching with Me Looks Like
This isn’t another support group where you sit in silence, unsure if it’s safe to speak.
This is a professionally guided, emotionally grounded space where foster carers come together to feel seen, supported, and stronger - together.
We use the Fostering With Confidence™ framework to guide our time, but this isn’t a rigid program.
It’s a living space for reflection, regulation, reconnection - and real change.
No performance.
No judgement.
Just consistent, structured support that meets you where you are—and reminds you that you’re not alone in this.
What’s Included:
8 x Weekly Coaching Sessions (90 mins, on Zoom)
A safe, supportive space to share, learn, reflect and exhale. Each session gently moves through one of the 6 core pillars of the FWC™ framework - tailored to the group’s pace and needs.
Held by Nicola McCafferty
Long-term foster carer. Certified coach. Lived experience. No theory without soul. This space is guided by someone who gets the system and the heartache.
Real-Life Grounding & Tools
Each week includes practices, prompts, and check-ins to help you regulate, reconnect and build sustainable habits between sessions - without overwhelm.
Optional Peer Connection Space
You’ll also have the option to join a private, coach-moderated space for gentle connection and encouragement between sessions. Not another WhatsApp. Just soft, safe support.
“You don’t need to fix yourself. You just need to feel like you exist again—and that’s what we’re building here. Together.”
